ROAR Nigeria Hub: The first of its Kind

Click here to visit University of Nigeria, Nsukka website

olayemiThe ROAR Nigeria Hub is a technology hub launched yesterday, 26th April 2017 at University of Nigeria, Nsukka. It is a technology hub to breed ideas and accelerate inventions and fabrications. It is indeed the first of its kind in Nigerian Universities and West Africa. This is achieved with the partnership of the University and BOC Innovations. The vision of the hub, according to Charles Emembolu, the Director of BOC Innovations,  is ‘to incubate and accelerate problem-solving innovations’. According to him, a lot of research works of students and researchers end up on the shelves, but ROAR Nigeria Hub has come as a channel to solve Nigeria’s, Africa’s and the world’s problems through the acceleration of these researches done by our own people in this great University. I witnessed the event and it was a great one. Three (3) student teams were called to pitch and they all devoloped apps that would solve Agricultural problems and fashion problems, etc. More stories to come. Meanwhile, see pictures after the cut…
